NuTech Link is an extremely strong and robust Web-based tool capable of accumulating and filtering very detailed data regarding alarm monitoring. With access to alarm information by store, district, region, and company-wide, NuTechLink became the key to understanding and correcting Dollar Financial’s false alarm problem.

NuTechLink searched the daily alarm activity for every store, to identify any police dispatch alarm. These events were then subsequently e-mailed to preselected Dollar Financial personnel for evaluation. Communication was then achieved through the corporate, regional, and district levels, and appropriate corrective measures were put into place. These included responsible employee and associate training on proper use of the system, or simply scheduling a qualified NuTech technician to identify and correct the alarm issue.

With NuTech providing detailed information within 24 hours of an event, Dollar Financial was able to take timely corrective action. THE RESULT? A drastic reduction of false alarms and a corresponding drop in fines.
